ElementalStation by ZombieLawyer
Time Played: about 3 minutes
Overall Gameplay (1.5 / 13 points)
- Player Experience: 1.5/10
- Mechanical Polish: 0/3
Comments: I was pretty confused for the entirety of my playthrough, and I couldn't make it past the doors on either side of the spawn point. There didn't seem to be much rhyme or reason behind how and when element collection worked. Interface elements existed for oxygen levels and player health, but I don't think they had any implementation behind them. Overall this game feels pretty incomplete and there isn't a ton of real gameplay to comment on.
Theme Inclusion (4 / 6 points)
Comments: There's certainly a form of "elements" present in the game, but with how incomplete the mechanics behind them are, I have a hard time giving full credit for this category.
Overall Presentation (2.5 / 10 points)
- General Presentation: 1.5/4
- Quality of Graphics: 0.5/4
- Quality of Audio: 0.5/2
Comments: There's a nice little walkthrough of the game controls and interfaces, but those interfaces were a bit strange and under-developed. The pop-up menus in the game had really bizarre and unintuitive controls. Graphics need a lot of work. In terms of audio, there was only a very short background track.
Final comments: I think this is just a case of a game needing more time in the oven. It looked like there were plans for much more content that unfortunately didn't make it into the final build.
